Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday arrived in Bogota, Colombia, marking the beginning of his four-nation tour of South America. “Just landed in Bogota, Colombia – looking forward to begin my South America tour,” Gandhi tweeted after his arrival.
Gandhi is on a visit to South American nations, where he will engage with political leaders, university students, and members of the business community across four countries. The visit aims to deepen democratic, trade, and strategic ties between India and South American nations.

Gandhi, who will hold meetings with top leaders across these four countries to strengthen bilateral relations and explore areas of cooperation, will also meet with business leaders to explore opportunities for trade and investment, particularly in light of the recent US tariffs.
The tour is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties, promoting cultural exchange, and exploring opportunities for economic cooperation between India and the countries he will be visiting.
Bogota is the first stop, where Gandhi will engage with political leaders, business communities, and academia.
The tour will also cover three other nations in South America, with a focus on fostering stronger bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation.
Gandhi’s visit aims to enhance India’s presence in the region and promote mutual understanding and cooperation.
